Ola has unveiled three new products and outlined its strategy for the next two years at its Sankalp 2024 event. The announcement kicked off with the upcoming launch of the Roadster X, followed by the Roadster, and concluded with the Roadster Pro.

Ola Roadster X – Details

Ola has announced its Roadster series, which comprises three motorcycles built on a scalable platform. All three motorcycles sport a futuristic and minimalist design. The first to be launched will be the Roadster X, which starts at Rs 75,000 for the 2.5kWh base variant. There will also be 3.5kWh and 4.5kWh variants priced at Rs 85,000 and Rs 1 lakh, respectively. Ola claims the 4.5kWh can do 0-40kph in 2.8 seconds, achieve a top speed of 124kph, and offer a 200km range. 

The Roadster X will come with disc brakes and be equipped with CBS (Combi Braking System). It’ll have a 4.3-inch LCD screen (powered by the latest MoveOS 5) and three riding modes (Sport, Normal and Eco). Deliveries are expected to start by the first half of 2025. 

Ola Roadster – Details

The Roadster is set to be powered by a 13kW motor, available in three distinct variants: 3.5kWh, 4.5kWh, and 6kWh. Pricing for the Roadster ranges from Rs 1.05 lakh for the base variant, Rs 1.20 lakh for the mid-spec variant, and Rs 1.40 lakh for the top-spec variant. The pinnacle model boasts an impressive 0-40kph acceleration time of just 2 seconds, a top speed of 126kph, and a claimed range of 248km. Equipped with four riding modes—Hyper, Sport, Normal, and Eco—users can switch between them effortlessly with a 6.8-inch TFT touchscreen. Additionally, the Roadster features cruise control, proximity unlock, integration with smartwatch apps, and other AI-powered functionalities.

Ola has also announced that the Roadster will come equipped with disc brakes with single-channel ABS and cornering ABS for enhanced safety. Deliveries for the Roadster are expected to commence by the first half of 2025, following the launch of the Roadster X.

Ola Roadster Pro – Details

The Roadster Pro is set to be powered by a motor capable of delivering a peak output of 52kW and 105Nm. It will be available in two models, each with a different battery capacity: 8kWh and 16kWh, priced at Rs 2 lakh and Rs 2.50 lakh, respectively. Ola boasts impressive performance claims for the Roadster Pro, stating that it can achieve 0-60kph in just 1.9 seconds and reach a top speed of 194kph. Additionally, the 16kWh battery is touted to have an IDC range of 579km. The Roadster Pro features a 10-inch TFT touchscreen, a USD fork, dual channel ABS, and four riding modes, ensuring a versatile driving experience.

Safety is a top priority, with the Roadster Pro equipped with Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), three levels of traction control, cornering ABS, and controls for wheelie and stoppie maneuvers. Deliveries for the Roadster Pro are expected to commence by the first half of 2026, offering enthusiasts a thrilling driving experience.
