2025 Kawasaki Z900 revealed Globally with New features & with New Design. Kawasaki has also Revealed the Z900 SE Variant.
In preparation for EICMA, Kawasaki has refreshed the Z900 naked bike with new styling, enhanced features, and improved components. The higher-spec Z900 SE variant has also undergone similar updates.
There is a slight reduction in peak outputs due to new emission norms. The Base Z900 model weighs 213kg, while the SE model weighs 214kg. The launch of India’s version is expected next year.
2025 Kawasaki Z900: New Updates
The most noticeable visual update to the 2025 Z900 is its sleek new styling, which has become even more angular than its predecessors. This design evolution aligns with the Z design philosophy, featuring a unified headlight design with the Z500 and Z7 Hybrid models. Similarly, the tail light has seen a transformation, replacing the traditional Z-shaped tail lamp with a more angular unit. Additionally, brushed metal accents adorned with the Z logo on the side panels of the 2025 Z900 add a touch of sophistication.
The 2025 Kawasaki Z900 has been enhanced with electronic features, marking its first introduction to ride-by-wire technology and an inertial measurement unit (IMU). The electronic riding aids feature two power modes—Full and Low—along with three traction control levels, which can be toggled off. Additionally, the vehicle is equipped with a bidirectional quickshifter, cruise control, and dual-channel ABS.
A new 5-inch TFT dash displays all relevant information to the rider, and it can be paired with your smartphone or headset for voice commands.
2025 Kawasaki Z900: Mechanical Update
In contrast to the visual and electronics departments, the list of mechanical updates for the 2025 Kawasaki Z900 is significantly shorter. The powerful, creamy smooth 948cc inline-four engine remains unchanged, albeit now subject to stricter Euro 5+ emission standards, which have slightly reduced its peak output. The 2025 Z900’s engine is now rated at 123hp at 9,500rpm and 97.4Nm of torque at 7,700rpm, down from the current model’s 125hp and 98.6Nm of torque.
The Z900 has now tipped the scales at 213kg, marking a mere 1 kilogram increase from its predecessor. Additionally, the seat height has been adjusted to 830mm, an increase of 10mm from the previous model.
The 2025 model elevates the game in cycle parts, featuring the standard bike now equipped with twin 4-piston, radially-mounted Nissin calipers at the front to halt the bike. The tires have also been upgraded from the somewhat wooden-feeling Dunlop Sportmax Roadsport 2 to the more grippy Dunlop Sportmax Q5A, marking a positive step forward. The rest of the components remain unchanged, ensuring you receive a 41mm USD fork and monoshock, both adjustable for rebound and preload.
As before, Kawasaki also provides a Sport E-Tec variant of the Z900, which features a higher-spec fully-adjustable suspension system and improved brakes. The Z900 SE is equipped with a 41mm KYB fork and an Ohlins S46 monoshock for suspension, and its braking power is provided by Brembo M4.32 calipers. The Sport E-Tec variant is 1kg heavier than the standard model at 214kg.
2025 Kawasaki Z900: India launch
In India, the Kawasaki Z900 has emerged as a strong seller for Kawasaki, suggesting that the updated model will likely be introduced here in the near future. Presently, the Kawasaki Z900 is priced at Rs 9.38 lakh (excluding showroom costs, India), and it’s anticipated that the 2025 model will be slightly more expensive due to the added equipment and features. It’s worth noting that Kawasaki has never offered the SE variant of the Z900 in India, making the introduction of that model highly unlikely. The competition for the Kawasaki Z900 includes the Triumph Street Triple R and Ducati Monster.
