The 1390 Super Duke GT uses the engine as the Super Duke R, but in a sport tourer format.
KTM has breathed new life into its iconic road-oriented sport tourer, the 1390 Super Duke GT. This time, it’s the same 1,350cc V-Twin engine from another of KTM’s flagship models, but it’s given a fresh look. The GT now sports a new design that perfectly captures KTM’s signature style: edgy and aggressive.
Same engine and main frame as the Super Duke R, but with a different subframe. The fuel tank is 19.5 liters, 2 liters larger than that of the Super Duke R. It features a comfort mode for semi-active WP suspension.
1390 Super Duke GT: Overall Details
The KTM’s 1,350cc motor, producing 190 horsepower at 10,000 rpm and 145 Nm at 8,000 rpm, is transferred to the 1390 Super Duke GT model unchanged. The primary frame remains identical to that of the 1390 Super Duke, and the semi-active WP suspension is identical to the Super Duke Evo. The primary modification to the suspension system is the introduction of a new Comfort mode for the GT, which softens the suspension to provide a more comfortable ride for extended periods.
Cycle parts are top-tier on the Super Duke GT, as one would expect from a range-leading sport tourer. Brembo Stylema calipers and 320mm discs handle the stopping duties, while lean-sensitive ABS and other riding aids are carried forward from the other big KTMs. Fuel capacity on the Super Duke GT has increased by 2 liters from the Super Duke, and it can now hold a total of 19.5 liters.
The Sticky Michelin Power 6 tyres, measuring 120/70-ZR17 for the front and 190/55-ZR17 for the rear, are available here. Although the chassis is identical to the Super Duke, the subframe has been reinforced for enhanced luggage carrying capacity and comfort for passengers.
The Super Duke GT has been added to the lineup, completing the 1390 series. It now joins the ranks of the Super Duke R, Super Adventure, and Super Adventure S Evo models.
